Lady Knits

FINALLY!!! A new post! I can’t even begin to express my exhaustion and the amount of unexpected events that have been going on in my life. The latest bringing us…well, ME, to explain the nude accessory you will see throughout the series of pictures in this post, on my leg. Long story short, I took my dog out for a walk Tuesday night when another dog got loose from his owners care and ran towards me, to what seem to be in an attempt to attack mine. My motherly instinct, (yes this dog is my LIFE & child), was to pick mine up to avoid the attack. However, I was the one who came out with a bite. Booo!!!! The wound is little but I can still see my tendon and its gross! So there ya’ have it!

Anyway, let’s talk CLOTHES!!! For this outfit, I decided to go for a very slouchy lady-like look. In other words, slouchy but classy! My favorite part of this look was that if I really want to go for a slouchy and casual look, all I had to do was, kick the heels off and slip on a pair of combat boots. Hope you guys like! I know I did and felt fab all day. I got so many compliments on my crochet shorts which I must say, are a must have!!! Visit: FashionStreetLA.bigcartel.com. to order a pair for just $20! Yes!!! TWENTY DOLLARS!! I’ve seen these babies range from $30 all the way up to 50+bucks!!! Yikes! So if you like them, be sure to check out the link! XO -M

Hey Dolls!!! It’s finally another day off and that means an outfit post! YAY!!! I’m literally just getting out of a cold that I had for about a week and since it was a warm breezy day, I wanted to bring out this little black number.

If any of you actually read my blog posts, you know that I love backless dresses and this was a HUGE reason why I purchased this one. The single string falling down my spine is a total sex appeal that I could not resist.

I wanted to dress casually chic today, so I kept it very simple & minimal. The necklace was just a small piece to avoid the dress looking so boring. I must say, this has got to be one of my favorite effortless looks thus far. I was seriously so comfy all day. I attended mass (wore a denim vest during the ceremony), strolled at The Grove L.A. with my beau and had dinner at my favorite, FAVORITE Italian restaurant, Maggiano’s Little Italy!

Well, hope you guys liked my outfit today and wish you all a FAB week. Tomorrow is Monday and that only means a new day to be thankful for. XO-M

Tropical Burst!!!

Happy Sunday Lovelies!!!
Have you missed me? I hope that’s a yes because today I bring color into your life! :)
When it comes to Fashion, I have no limits to try ANYTHING that I can be comfortable in and at the same time, wear something that can make me feel like I’m walking the L.A. runway (Streets). Today, I spent the day kinda thrift shopping (epic fail) and later lounged around in the pool with my beau. Since it was a hot day in the valley, I decided to bring this two piece out for a stroll. The reason why I love and chose a two piece like this, something my closet has NEVER owned, was for three reasons:

1. It strayed away from your typical tribal and floral prints. I tend to get bored of certain prints after seeing it in every store possible.
2. It is a fun and bright fit for these Summer days, while out and about. You definitely crave to be somewhere tropical.
3. Lastly, even though in this post I took the “brave” risk to wear BOTH pieces together, you can definitely work with either pieces separately. These bold colors are so bright and dramatic that they would make GREAT statement pieces to spice up any outfit.

For a less revealing touch, I threw on this white linen blazer and it gave a classy Summer look. Remember Ladies: NEVER be afraid to step out of your comfort style zone so as long as it makes you feel comfortable. If you like it, rock it in your own YOUnique way :) Blessings! XO-M

Tri-Denim

If you haven’t already figured it out, I work at a clothing store in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. With the location of my job being what it is, HEAVEN’S CLOSET, I definitely see new styles, new trends, the popular’s and the not so much, come in and out of stores…EVERY DAY. I am a witness that styles change rapidly and so often that I get lots of questions on how to style certain “IT” trends to avoid over-doing it. One being the infamous “Tribal”. But before I continue, let’s be honest! My taste, could not so much be yours and vice versa. So, what I share here are my own opinions from experience. For example, if it’s a black & white tribal piece, I think a perfect neon color, whether it be a top or bottom, is a perfect combination to give it that pop of color. Or how about pairing tribal with typical neutral colors. But like I said, many people don’t like bold colors that attract too much attention, while others like to be the eye of the tiger. So, a perfect piece that never fails to please my customers in general, whether it’s a colorful tribal print or a classic B&W, is good ol’ Denim. Who doesn’t love denim?! It goes with ANYTHING! I mean, you can wear denim on denim & ROCK IT for crying out loud. SERIOUSLY!!! How much more versatile can a clothing item like this get?!
SOOOO, if you have a pair of tribal leggings that you’ve been dying to wear stored up somewhere in your closet for months but haven’t because you didn’t know how to wear them… TRI-DENIM! It never seems to fail! Blessings! XO-M

Steez

Cali livin’! Hey guys! Today I bring you a fit that I normally wouldn’t wear. Not because I don’t like it but mainly because when it comes to exposing skin, I like to do so in a “leave more to the eye” type of way. In other words, when it comes to skin, I prefer showing off my legs, shoulders and back. I feel like those three areas are so BEYOND sexy…well at least in my opinion. However, today I decided to try something totally new for me…and that is my stomach. It was another sunny, kinda hot day in L.A. So I wanted to stay a little cool. A very effortless look but perfect to just throw on without looking too bummy. With this look, you can definitely hit up the streets, grab lunch and lounge around stores in street style ;) Hope you all had a fun Wednesday! The weekend is almost here!!! HANG TIGHT! Blessings!!!! Ethnic

Hola mis amores!!!!!! Today was a good day. I woke up and felt more alive than ever. Life is good and it’s even better when you are well dressed :) Like all other Sunday’s, I woke up, ate breakfast and did minimal chores. I then got ready for mass and headed out on an evening with my love. I can’t say we do much but every time we are together, life is balanced. I feel safe and sound. Like perfection exists and nothing or anyone could ever come between us. ANYWAY…before I become all hopeless romantic on you, let’s just focus on why you are here…TODAY’S OUTFIT OF THE DAY!!!!! For today’s fit, I went for an ethnic look. Considering that I am Mexican and love to embrace my heritage anyway possible, the day I saw this skirt, I knew it had to come home with me. I love things that remind me of my culture and traditions. This skirt is a perfect example of who I am and where I come from. The colors express happiness and at the same time, the simplicity of this skirt represents humility. Which are two things I characterize myself as, happy & humble. Anyway, focusing on styling this outfit. I was very minimal with accessories but chose ones that would compliment my skirt. Wooden accessorize are a GREAT combination. Hope you guys like!!! :) Blessings! XO-M
